Dorothy Ann Webb-Sticka
Dorothy Ann Webb-Sticka – June 20, 1937 – September 24, 2016
Dorothy passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 79 from a Hemorrhagic Stroke on September 24th, 2016.
She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Francis and Clara Hoefer. She was the 6th of 8 children. The family moved to Oregon in 1941.
She married her High School Sweetheart Vern Sizer on Nov. 27, 1954 and graduated from Hill-High in Hillsboro in 1955. Their 1st child Jeff was born on August 30th, 1955. They moved to Encinitas, California in 1956 where they had 3 more children; Julie, Jackie & Joe. They moved back to Oregon in 1966. They later divorced.
She married Clete Webb in 1972 and gained 4 stepchildren; Trent Webb, Jeff Webb, Valerie Webb-Kline, Mark Webb and 8 more grandchildren. Dorothy and Clete were married for 37 years until his death in 2009.
She then married Gerald Sticka in 2010 and gained 4 more stepchildren; Gerald Sticka Jr., Kami Clevenger, Kathie Dvorack, Garry Sticka and 9 more grandchildren and 7 more great grandchildren.
Dorothy’s 35+ year career was in Electronics Mfg. with Tektronix and Credence Systems. She retired from Credence in 2001. Her passion was gardening, she spent endless hours in her garden and considered it “Her Therapy”. She won several awards for her perfectly manicured yards. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. Dorothy was known as “The Hug Distributor” and never passed judgement on anyone. Everyone got a HUG!
She was preceded in death by Vern Sizer and Clete Webb. Sisters Margie Pierson, Joanne Walters and Brother Phillip “Bud” Hoefer.
She is survived by her Husband Gerald “Jerry” Sticka, Sons Jeff Sizer of Aloha and Joe Sizer of Forest Grove, Daughter Jackie Sizer of Gaston, Daughter & Son-in-law Julie & Tom Cox of Forest Grove. 7 grandchildren; Tina Sizer of Estacada, Mindy Nelson of Gaston, Katrina Garrett of Hillsboro, Daniel Busser of Gaston, Adam Sizer of Gaston, Jordan Sizer of Forest Grove and Joseph Sizer of Hillsboro and 10 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Forest Grove where her Celebration of Life will be held on November 12, 2016 at 3:00 pm. Reception immediately following (1950 Mt. View Lane, Forest Grove, Or,). She loved her Pastors and Church family!
