Obituary for Thomas L. Davis

Thomas L. Davis 1947-2017

Thomas L. Davis passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from heart failure at the age of 70. Tom suffered from heart disease for over 20 years.

Tom was the youngest son of Betty and Roger Davis who predeceased him. He has one older brother Jim.

Tom grew up in Hillsboro and attended Peter Boscow-Barnes grade school and graduated from Hilhi in 1965. He joined the US Navy soon after graduation and served aboard the USS Frontier AD-25 and the USS Woodpecker MSC-209. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1969 and went to work for the Oregon National Guard for several years, delivered appliances for Hutchins TV and Appliance, and later worked for Intel in manufacturing and the warehouse. He always enjoyed working and the people he worked with. Tom was an avid fisherman and loved to fish for trout, salmon, and steelhead on the Oregon coast.

Tom never married but is survived by his older brother Jim, sister-in-law Joanne, nephew Ryan (and wife Ali), two grand-nephews Jackson and Rhett, and one grandniece Evelyn.

Tom enjoyed being part of our family and always attended family events. We will miss him.

Tom requested no service as he always wanted to keep things simple.
